On a daily basis, you’ll find Kurt meeting with clients and prospects, and managing investments at Leonard & Martens, LLC. “We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate complete financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.”
After earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego, Kurt started his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse in 1988 and continued at Deloitte in 1993. He provided financial advisory services to a diverse range of clients that included individuals, estates and corporations.
In 1995, Kurt was hired as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning for Koniag, Inc., an Alaska Regional Native Corporation. He was integral in the development of the company’s long-term strategic financial plan and asset allocation.

The affiliation with Raymond James was also a positive factor to Kurt. "I felt that the firm’s underlying corporate culture aligned perfectly with my own outlook.”
