As Vice President for Leonard and Martens, LLC, Wilson works with his team to advise and serve clients. He oversees operations and works to organize and train team members seeking to improve knowledge, efficiency, and skills while continuing to always focus on the needs of the clients.
In addition to developing and organizing our Leonard and Martens team, Wilson works directly with clients to identify goals, review accounts, and update plans. He works on our investment committee to review investment performance and speaks with clients; recommending potential changes to their accounts or plans.
Wilson was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. In 2004 he graduated from Robert Service High School. About a year after graduation he voluntarily served for his church in Spain for 2 years. He was hired in September of 2011 at Leonard and Martens, LLC. In May of 2012, Wilson graduated with honors from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management.In pursuit of further education Wilson passed the CFP® exam in March of 2015 and became CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™practitioner in April of the same year. In Januray of 2021, Wilson was appointed a partner at Leonard and Martens, LLC.
Wilson, his wife and their four young children enjoy the outdoors and travel. In his free time you may find him and his family at the zoo, museum and other fun sites around Anchorage. Wilson and his wife enjoy raising their kids, their current tasks include teaching them to ride bikes, snowshoe and sled.
The CFP® board posted some information regarding the certification on their website: “[The] CFP® certification proves you are part of an elite group of more than 69,000 CFP® professionals who possess the highest credential in the financial planning field. Less than 20% of practicing financial advisors in the industry can claim this distinction.”
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
